Call for Speakers
Each interpreter, no matter their specialization, has an ethical responsibility to improve their skills. How we put this into practice, however, is less well defined. Let's change that.
The overriding mission of this conference is to offer a local forum for interpreters to focus on developing themselves and the profession as a whole.
The conference is built around professional networking and workshop sessions that maximize audience participation. We seek to facilitate learning as an ongoing, dynamic and social process, and strive to offer engaging sessions in which diverse participants can form bonds, participate as learners and teachers, and feel integral to the learning process. We believe presenters should make content relevant and meaningful, and offer ways to process information through dialogue, reflection, and application.
We encourage innovative ideas for presentations and activities that support the focus of the conference: improvement.
Deadline for submissions: January 27, 2019
Proposals submitted after this date may be considered for selection, but preference will be given to those proposals received by the deadline.
