Becoming the Best at Getting Better

Interpreting Conference presented by Cincinnati Children’s and KITA

Interpreting is a profession of continual learning and development.

But how do you do that?

Join us October 13 at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center to learn how together!

CEUs will be offered through CEAP, IMIA, RID, and state courts.

On behalf of the department of Language Access Services at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, and the Kentucky Interpreters and Translators Association, I invite you to take part in our event “Becoming the Best at Getting Better.” This one-day conference will be held at Cincinnati Children’s campus. The conference aims to raise awareness about the responsibility shared amongst all interpreters to continue their never-ending professional development by increasing their practical knowledge of the areas they provide services in, while also elevating their technical ability to work as professionals in such areas.

The conference is expected to attract over 150 language professionals locally and regionally. The program curriculum and activities are designed to provide an interactive educational forum for interpreters of all skill levels, as well as individuals with a general interest in the challenges and satisfactions offered by the interpreting field. Industry-renown expert interpreter Agustin de la Mora has been carefully selected as a key note speaker. He will provide a unique perspective on the most effective approaches to learning for today’s interpreting environments.

We are excited to offer your organization the opportunity to help support this important educational activity. Attendee tuition fees alone cannot cover the cost of producing this vitally important forum. We hope that your organization will join other language service providers in support of this event.

Your support will make it possible to continue raising the bar of the interpreting profession in our region. Depending on the level of support chosen, you will be acknowledged accordingly in the materials and displays. You may also receive recognition from the podium during the introduction of the keynote speaker. The range of sponsorship opportunities are outlined and described within this prospectus.

On behalf of the program committee and our Medical Operations leadership, I want to thank you for your consideration of this request. It is our hope that you will see the value in supporting this event. If you have any questions or require additional information, please feel free to contact Andy Schwieter at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center at
